The purpose of our Community Care efforts is to love and serve our local community and the City of Toronto (Matthew 22:39). As Christians, we understand the brokenness sin has caused in our shared human experience. Our desire is to model the practical and compelling love and grace of Jesus Christ to the broken, poor, oppressed and marginalized, so that they may desire the true freedom found in the gospel, which alone brings about real and lasting transformation (Luke 10:25-37).
He said to him, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and most important command. The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commands.”
